Each week includes a combination of well-being theory and research, as well as practical strategies Dr. Carmack has developed in her work with over 2000 coaching clients and uses to train health coaches for the International Consortium for Health and Wellness Coaches (ICHWC) in her 15-week Coaching Program (sold separately).

"Dr. C" is an author and interdisciplinary scholar, strategist and speaker who is passionate about helping individuals, teams, schools and organizations to thrive in our fast-paced, 24/7 world. She is the author of Well-Being Ultimatum (2015) and Genius Breaks (2017), and has been a socialpreneur (entrepreneur dedicated to social change and civic action) since 2007. As an international workshop presenter and CEC provider, she has trained over 3000 one:one and organization clients in Yoga, Pilates and Fitness since 1997; Yoga and Pilates teachers and teacher-trainers since 2006; and Integrative Health and Well-Being Coaches since 2013. Since 2011, she has also taught well-being, stress management, integrative health coaching, and communication courses for George Mason University. Her applied research agenda explores the ways that mindfulness, movement, and meaning (communication) practices can address the widespread epidemic of burnout and compassion fatigue in healthcare, education, and other professional fields. Dr. C holds a PhD in health communication; an MEd in health and kinesiology; an MFA in theatre, and is a CEC provider and trainer of teachers for the Yoga Alliance (ERYT, YACEP); Pilates Method Alliance and American Council on Exercise. Can anyone take this online course?
Yes. This training is open to the public, to help you to become a more knowledgeable healthcare consumer and to take a more informed and active role in the optimization of your well-being.
Are CEU's Available?
This training welcomes students seeking CEC's for health, fitness, wellness and prek-12 education professions; please contact us if you would like to have our support in earning your CEC's! We cannot guarantee results but we are happy to help you with the petition process and/or verification process as needed.
What is included in the course?
The course includes: 8 self-paced modules of master class content taught by Dr. C ($3999 value). Each module includes a combination of assessment tools, lecture content, and resources that will help you to thrive (modules 1-7) and to become a well-being change agent in your community (module 8).
Will this course train me to become a health coach?
This course is a master class that walks you through the "client view" of Dr. C's health coaching model, and teaches you her process of coaching. If you are interested in becoming an ICHWC-certified health coach and/or Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), this course is your prerequisite for Dr. Carmack's training programs. To earn your ICHWC Health coach endorsement, you would also complete an additional 40 hours of training virtually and complete 50 practicum coaching hours. To earn your Yoga Teacher endorsement, you would also complete an additional 185 hours of training in person with Dr. C. When does the course start and finish?
The course is completely self-paced. Students can choose to follow the curriculum at a leisurely 6-month pace, or can fast-track the course in 8 weeks (by covering a new module every week).
How long do I have access to the course?
You will have access lifetime access to the course. So, if you can choose to review the content at whatever pace works for you (and you can repeat content depending on your unique well-being needs).
What if I am unhappy with the course?
